ENTRANCE EXAMS FOR BACHELOR'S PROGRAMS

Russian and foreign applicants to tuition-free (state-funded) positions and Russian applicants to tuition-based positions need to pass three entrance exams (or the results of the Unified State Exam (USE) in three subjects).

Your ranking in the list of applicants will depend on the total points you receive on your entrance exams (USE) in three subjects and any personal achievements submitted as part of your application.

An exam in Russian Language as the official language of the Russian Federation is obligatory for any subject area.

Below is the list of exams for Russian and foreign applicants to tuition-free (state-funded) positions and Russian applicants to tuition-based positions.

Applicants from the categories indicated below are eligible for participation in ITMO University’s own entrance exams:

Regardless of whether the applicant took the USE (Unified State Exam):

• People with disabilities;
• Foreign citizens;
• Russian citizens who resided in Donetsk People’s Republic, Lugansk People’s Republic, or Ukraine before relocating to Russia, or Russian citizens who had to interrupt their studies at foreign universities.

Applicants with secondary education certificates from organizations outside Russia can take the university’s own exams in subjects which they didn’t take in their USE in the current calendar year.

Applicants indicated above can use their USE results (if applicable), as well as take ITMO University’s own entrance exams for their application.

For applicants entering with certificates of completed vocational education:

Entrance exams are conducted in accordance with the subject area of the completed vocational education program, except for the exam in the Russian language, which doesn’t take into account the subject area of the applicant’s completed vocational education program.

All entrance exams are conducted online via ITMO University’s information system.
