About the program
This Bachelor’s program trains specialists who can not only conduct research but also implement its results through R&D.It offers an end-to-end system in which research tasks turn into practical activities at laboratories and innovative companies.
As early as their second year, students have the opportunity to begin working on projects on the following topics:
- development of secure networks, quantum computing, and optics-based AI technologies;
- study of ultrafast processes in the femtosecond range and nonlinear phenomena in the visible, IR, and THz frequency ranges;
- creation of devices for holography and terahertz photonics – the groundwork for ultrafast next-gen mobile communication;
- use of advanced technologies in medicine, biology, and cultural heritage diagnostics;
- software development for photonic integrated circuits – the “brain” of modern photonics;
- design of new optical materials – from glasses and crystals to nanocomposites and microstructured optical fibers – for photonics hardware.
