About the program
The Master's program trains students to produce and implement comprehensive solutions for preventing industrial pollution, optimizing resource management, and advancing the transition to a circular economy.The program will perfectly fit students with backgrounds in the following fields: ecology, environmental management, technosphere safety, industrial ecology, biotechnology, chemical engineering, and other adjacent natural and technical sciences. The training is focused on studying and applying the best available technologies, the principles of clean production, sustainable waste management, and green construction. Students will master environmental design, monitoring, and modeling techniques to prevent systemic environmental risks instead of dealing with the aftermath.

Career
The professional path of graduates of the subject area 18.04.02 (Energy- and Resource Saving Processes in Chemical Technology, Petroleum Chemistry and Biotechnology) focuses on ensuring environmental sustainability at productions, implementation of projects meant to lessen their environmental impact, compliance with environmental requirements, development, implementation and audit of environmental and energy management systems, and sustainable management of production and consumption waste.
Whereas graduates of the subject area 20.04.01 (Technosphere Safety) acquire the competencies needed for reduction of the urbanization’s impact on environmental systems and environment, assessment of environmental impacts for urban planning purposes, sustainable management of municipal solid waste, and development of green construction and landscape design.
