About the program
The Software Engineering Bachelor’s program trains students capable of starting their careers before graduation and shortly achieving mid-level and senior positions.The use of AI systems in software development has led to revolutionary changes in the field. In the foreseeable future, the most valuable and sought-after specialists will be those who can not only deploy ready-made technologies and development tools but also have a product-oriented mindset, can critically evaluate the outputs of generative models, produce new technologies, and manage teams and development projects.
Success in these roles requires significant intellectual mobility that is built on fundamental expertise in computer sciences and programming combined with early real-world experience at companies.
The Information Technologies and Programming Faculty is a pioneer of fundamental IT education in Russia and hosts a leading world-class research and educational center in programming technologies, supported by all major bigtech companies (Yandex, Alfa-Bank, T-Bank, Avito, OZON, and others). The program is one of the top-level IT and data science programs in Russia.
The faculty includes over 150 experts from top-tier Russian IT companies teaching students from day one. Students have the opportunity to intern at and even receive job offers from the partner companies (200+ IT companies) starting their third year in the program. Special stipends by the partner companies are also available.
