About the program
As a student of the Design and Development of Big Data Systems Master’s program, you will learn to design systems for big data processing and storage, explore state-of-the-art tools and their practical applications, as well as delve into the analytics behind big data and machine learning.The program is for students who have experience developing backend apps and wish to retrain as data engineers and/or data architects. It will help you extend your knowledge of network programming, the organization of distributed calculations in clusters, specialized structures, as well as algorithms for storage, search, and compression in databases. During practical classes, students will study NoSQL databases and data processing frameworks, such as Apache Spark and Flink, as well as work on projects (for instance, developing custom subsystems for data storage) and practice creating products with the help of machine learning and data analysis.Program partners
