About the program
Using machine learning algorithms, big data processing tools, and computer modeling technologies, you will be able to predict the behavior of complex systems in chemistry and biology. This opens the possibility for creating and programming new materials, testing systems, digital twins, autonomous industrial robots and lab assistants, flexible electronics, artificial leather, smart clothing, functional foods, and more.During your studies, you will gain a deep understanding of chemistry, biotechnology, math, and computer science and technologies. You may also choose to take courses on disciplines that are closely related to chemistry and adjacent fields, such as chemoinformatics, chemometrics, triboinformatics, and chemotronics. From day one, you will take part in real projects from research organizations and industrial companies.
Renowned educational institutions from the US, UK, Germany, Belgium, France, Spain, and Israel are also among the program’s partners. Students can apply for exchange programs at foreign research centers that can last anywhere from three months to a year and a half. There is also a separate biannual semester-long exchange program which is open to all ITMO students.
